The history of the winery began in 1975 with its founder, Primo Vettoretti, a visionary man deeply connected to his land and the history of his family. For generations, his family of winemakers had lived in the Cartizze area, cultivating their vineyards with passion and dedication. Today, Ivano, Primo’s son, leads the company alongside his children Marco, Alberto, and Anna, all of whom carry forward the enthusiasm and knowledge of their family’s tradition.
The love for their land is the foundation of all the values that underpin the family’s philosophy, and thus the company itself.
Respect for the environment, seen as a precious treasure, the commitment to sustainability, and the hand harvesting on the steepest slopes, carried out with utmost care according to the ancestral rules of heroic cultivation. Their mission is to produce the most precious Valdobbiadene DOCG, the Cartizze, by virtue of the privilege of having always belonged to this extraordinary land.

TECHNIQUES AND TECHNOLOGIES

The sparkling wines of Primo Vettoretti are produced using the Martinotti-Charmat method, which involves fermenting the base wine in stainless steel containers under pressure (autoclaves) at a controlled temperature. This allows for a more effective extraction of aromas and flavors in a much shorter time compared to the traditional method. A different technology is applied for the Valdobbiadene DOCG “Sui Lieviti” and the Dei Genori Frizzante, as the second fermentation, similar to the champenoise method, takes place directly in the bottle.
